"I've always loved birds, and the kingfisher is such a strikingly beautiful one. We occasionally get them in our garden, and whenever I spot one, I just can't help but stop and watch.

I chose colored pencils for this piece because I really wanted to capture the intricate details of their feathers and those brilliant, vivid blues and greens. My hope is that this drawing brings a little bit of that captivating natural beauty indoors for you to enjoy."
