About Karena

Hi, I'm Karena, a New Zealand-based artist.

Creating is my lifelong passion. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and I am fueled by a desire to keep improving, constantly creating, and challenging myself.

Working across both acrylic paint and coloured pencil, I enjoy exploring different styles and techniques. My acrylic paintings feature abstract elements, while my coloured pencil pieces focus on soft realism. All of my work is inspired by nature, movement, and the simple things that make life feel a little lighter.

I draw so much of my inspiration from New Zealand's wildlife, flowers, landscapes, and the quiet moments of beauty that often go unnoticed in our busy lives. Through original artwork and fine art prints, I hope to create pieces that encourage people to slow down, reconnect with nature, and find moments of calm in their homes.
