"The inspiration for 'The Guardian' actually came from a spirit animal quiz my partner and I did. His result came back as a deer, so I decided to paint him in his animal form - which is why the stag has his blue eyes.
I wanted this piece to capture the natural qualities of a deer, but more importantly, I wanted it to represent kindness, strength, protection and empathy. The bright botanicals ground him in nature, but he is the true focal point, acting as a gentle guardian keeping a protective watch over those around him.
My hope is that this painting brings a safe, grounding presence into your home and reminds you that true strength is often found in quiet compassion and kindness."
